Antigua: Just 14 miles wide at its widest point keeps everything one requires close at hand. The Island is 108 sq. miles in total boasting 365 or more beautiful beaches, one for each day of the year, Long Bay being one of the nicest. The population is about 80,000 predominately black with about a 15, 000 ex-pat population. Antigua is a sovereign nation granted full independence in 1981.
